Fillings & More
Sometimes Dr. Gatgens needs to do more than a routine cleaning. Learn about tooth-colored fillings and onlays for crowns.
We use the highest quality tooth-colored composite material for your fillings. This material matches your shade of the tooth and blends in to look and function naturally.
Once all the decay has been removed from the tooth, the tooth will be prepared to bond to the composite material. After the filling material is placed into the tooth it is bonded into place using a light that cures the material and makes it hard.
Finally, we'll shape and polish your filling to blend in naturally with your teeth for a great result and a beautiful smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Sometimes a tooth may need more strength for it to function. Or, too much tooth structure may be missing for Dr. Gatgens to place a composite filling.
In either case, Dr. Gatgens can use an inlay or onlay that can replace the missing tooth structure may be used to restore the tooth to its natural function and look.
